Technical Writer

Roles & Responsibilities 

The technical writer will be responsible for creating standard, high quality documentation to support our internal teams and clients. The documentation will cover our proprietary technology and standard procedures. This role helps ensure that all employees have access to updated information about our core technology and processes to enable, them to independently learn and effectively manage their responsibilities. The audience for this content is mostly internal Health Prime teams but some documentation will also be shared with clients as needed. 


  • Author product and process documentation, partnering with product, automation, standardization, and development teams. 
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand current processes and identify where updates to reference material are needed. 
  • Maintain company best practice standards for documentation presentation and formatting.  
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure that documentation is up to date and relevant to impacted teams. 
  • Support product and standards team in creating and editing supporting documentation including process flows. 
  • Publish regular updates to stakeholders about newly available or updated content. 
  • Partner with learning and development to build support creating and maintaining educational and refence material. 

Required Skills/Attributes: 

  • Strong business and technical communication skills. 
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional, international teams. 
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Visio.  
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Willingness to work in a team environment when needed to achieve department goals and expectations. 
  • Strong time management skills with ability to achieve deliverables within set timelines. 

Education and Experience 

  • This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience may be considered. 
  • 2+ years of technical writing, product, or other written communication role. 
  • Experience and knowledge in federal, state, and commercial billing, compliance, and reimbursement regulations.  
  • Experienced in healthcare revenue cycle. 
  • Experience working with technical teams and systems in documentation.
