Chief Financial Officer

Role and Responsibilities

Health Prime is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join their fast-paced, innovative team. Health Prime serves as a strategic partner for value-based care organizations in today’s health care marketplace. Health Prime offers transformative technology solutions and services to optimize everyday healthcare practices. The Chief Financial Officer has the primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and running of all the finance activities of a company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations. The ideal candidate is located in the DC area and will be responsible for financial strategy, planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships. They will collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding company’s financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction and management to the finance and accounting team
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and audit functions, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
  • Management of subsidiary business units and consolidating financials to parent level for PE owner
  • Manage PE owner questions on a daily/weekly basis
  • Prepare and present board package for finance/accounting department monthly
  • Work with Head of Sales on a routine basis to manage prospect contract exemptions / negotiations and any other items to make sales successful
  • Work with Operations to create workload/efficiency metrics for staff to determine hiring needs
  • Prepare departmental budgets so business units have ownership and accountability over financials
  • Prepare financial packages to share with internal executives on financial health of company monthly
  • Work towards PCAOB (public reporting) audit compliance
  • Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 and other accounting/revenue recognition requirements
  • Advise on long-term business and financial planning
  • Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
  • Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share
  • Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas
  • Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital for expansion

Education and Experience:

  • B.A./B.S. in related field
  • Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance preferred
  • 6-8 years’ experience in healthcare services/technology and revenue cycle management
  • 15+ years’ experience in financial management required
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
  • PCAOB Audit Experience
  • Previous experience with mergers and acquisitions
