The AAPI Annual Convention was a great opportunity for Health Prime to interact with health professionals, share knowledge and understand physician´s struggles in their medical practices.
The AAPI (American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin) Convention is an exciting venue to interact with leading physicians, academicians, health professionals and scientists of Indian origin.
In this event, physicians, and health care professionals from across the country convene and participate in the scholarly exchange of medical advances, to develop health policy agendas, and to encourage legislative priorities in the coming year.
According to data from the AAPI, physicians’ members of AAPI represent 10% of all physicians in the United States. However, they service approximately 30% of the US patient population.
A highlight of the event was that AAPI released their own medical journal called JAPPI, a journal that goes out every month and it is written in correlation with physicians from Indian origin.
These doctors have put hard work in this COVID crisis. Some of these doctors even did telehealth when they got out of work for people in India without any cost. These AAPI´s efforts directly impact patient outcomes and patient care in this difficult worldwide health context.
The 2021 AAPI Annual Convention & Scientific Assembly took place at Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center Atlanta, GA, from July 2nd to July 5th, 2021, with strict guidelines per CDC and limiting to 500 attendees only.

Dr. Shah received a pin as a recognition for being one of AAPI´s Past Presidents.
Also, they announced Dr. Anuapama Gotimukula as the new AAPI President, replacing Dr. Sudhakar Jonnalagadda, who held this charge previously.
